Pfc. Raymond H. Dunn enlisted in the Regular Army at Ft. Thomas Newport, Kentucky on 15 October 1940.

He worked on a farm before he enlisted.

At the time of his death, the 10th Infantry Regiment was engaged in the vicinity of Metz, France.

He was first buried in the U.S. Temporary Cemetery Limey, Toul, France.
