1st Lt Milton W. Johnson graduated as an architect.

He joined the Regular Army in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on 24 October 1940 and was sent overseas in August 1944.

He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for heroism in the military operations from 10 to 24 September near Arnaville, France. At that time he was serving as a reconnaissance officer with a heavy weapons company and led his men courageously under the hail of enemy fire.

Lt Johnson was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Limey, France.,
