1st Lt Delmar W. Neimeister Jr. enlisted in the Regular Army at Ft. Hayes, Columbus Ohio on 29 May 1941.

At the time of his death, the 10th Infantry Regiment was engaged in the vicinity of Differten, Germany.

He was first buried in the U.S. Temporary Cemetery Limey, Toul, France.
