More information

Capt. Thaddeus J. Kubarek attended the Syracruse University, Class 1937 and was a member of Sigma Nu. The 5th Infantry division in the ETO Page 2006:

“The enemy fire seemed to come from tanks and the type of rounds used was of the armor-piercing type. This latter concentration, however, was almost entirely high explosive, and the damage to personnel and vehicles was conciderable. It was at this time that the Company Commander of F Company, Tenth Infantry, Thaddeus Kubarek was killed in the doorway of the Second-Thurd Battalion Command Post, a building slightly to the right of, and about 100 yards distant from the Main bridge.”

He was first buried in the Limey Cemetery, Toul, France.
