Pfc Florio H. Vigil was a farmer on his own ranch before he enlisted in Santa Fe, New Mexico on 1 July 1942.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments to his stomach.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Andilly, France.

He is remembered at the Springer Cemetery in Springer, Colfax County, New Mexico.
