Pfc John J. McBride attended high school for two years and was employed at the General Electric Company before he enlisted in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 20 August 1943.He was killed by small arms fire in his buttock and hip.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Andilly, France.
