S/Sgt Ralph F. Foley was a former employee of the General Machinery Company before he enlisted in Cincinnati, Ohio on 6 June 1942.

He died in France on 15 September of wounds he contracted in action one day prior.

He died from machine gunshot to his stomach.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Andilly, France.
