Pfc Frank J. Yangula was employed at the Allegheny Ludium Steel Company before he enlisted in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania on 20 March 1944.

He was officially declared dead one year and one day after he was reported missing in action. At that time his unit was fighting in the vicinity of Rittershoffen, France.
