Pfc Edward L. McBee was employed at the Chrysler Corporation Plymouth Branche in Detroit, Michigan when he enlisted in October 1943. He was sent overseas in April 1944 and he arrived in France in July 1944.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Andilly, France.
