Pvt Lloyd D. Buterbaugh was employed at the T.W. Phillips Gas & Oil Company before he enlisted in Altoona, Pennsylvania on 29 November 1943.He was killed by artillery shell fragments.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Andilly, France.
