Pvt Fritz J. Rohrborn enlisted in San Francisco, California on 8 October 1941.He was taken prisoner in the vicinity of Schlausenbach, Germany on 16 December 1944.
Arriving at Stalag IV-B in Mühlberg on 27 December, he was given POW No 313601.IVB. He died on 7 January 1945 of disease and malnutrition and was buried at the nearby Neuburxdorf Cemetery, grave 580 in the Prisoner Of War section.
In August 1947 the AGRC started disinterment, however the grave of Fritz Rohrborn was empty, so he was listed in AGRC as "Unresolved Casualty". On 19 December 1955 a new excavation attempt began and on 21 December the remains found were accepted as decedent 39011975.
He was given his finale resting place at Ardennes on 31 August 1956.
