Pfc Louis A. Croce enlisted in Portland, Maine on 8 March 1943.

Pvt Croce was killed by a gunshot wound in the head.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Foy, Belgium on 16 February 1945. He was given his final resting place at Henri-Chapelle on 27 October 1948.
