Louis Smith graduated from St. Mary High School in 1936 and worked at the Banta Publishing Company.He enlisted on 19 March 1941 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He was taken prisoner in the vicinity of Schlausenbach, Germany on 16 December 1944 and died in Stalag IV-D.
