S/Sgt Bernard A. Vogel graduated from Brentwood High School.

He enlisted on 5 March 1943 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

He was taken prisoner on 16 December 1944. He was held prisoner in Stalag IV-B and most likely died during a forced march when the camp was evacuated.
