Pfc Raymond P. Baril attended Windsor High School before he enlisted in Rutland, Vermont on 22 November 1943.

He was taken prisoner in the vicinity of Schlausenbach, Germany on 16 December 1944 and was imprisoned at Stalag IX-B in Bad Orb, Germany.

After being liberated he was evacuated to a hospital in France where he died of tuberculosis.
