Pvt Victor C. Schneider attended St. Vincent Junior High School and was employed as a filling station attendant at Pipkorn Fuel and Supply Company before he joined the U.S. Army Reserve at Fort Sheridan, Illinois on 13 March 1944.He was reported Missing in Action near Schlausenbach, Germany on 16 December 1944.
Later he was reported by the German Government as taken prisoner and that he was killed in Gerolstein, Germany during an allied air raid on the railroad yard where the POWs were closed up in boxcars.
