Pvt Donald G. Moritz graduated from West High School and worked at the Fisher Brothers Company.

He enlisted in Cleveland, Ohio on 5 July 1943.

He was reported wounded in action by shrapnel in the leg in October 1944. for this wound he was awarded the Purple Heart Medal a first time.

On one photo he is on the far right with four of his first cousins at a Moritz family reunion in 1937.
