S/Sgt Kenneth E. Mc Intosh worked on a machine shop before he enlisted in Columbus, Ohio on 8 January 1943.He was killed by a sniper.
He was awarded the Silver Star posthumously. The citation cited: Advancing against strongly fortified enemy positions in Germany, Sgt Mc Intosh's squad was pinned down by the rifle fire from two well concealed enemy snipers. He exposed himself continiously to the enemy fire in a maneuver to locate the position of the snipers. He shot and killed two of them, returned to his squad and reorganized it to continue the advance.
S/Sgt Kenneth E. Mc Intosh was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Henri-Chapelle, Belgium.
He is remembered at the Parish Cemetery, Arlington, Montgomery County, Ohio, USA.
