S/Sgt Earl L. Davis attended Bosse High School and was a farmer.

He enlisted at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana on 31 January 1942 and was a veteran of the North African and Sicilian campaigns.

His brother Vernard served in the Pacific with the U.S. Navy.
