More information

Pfc Robert L. Kahn graduated from Newton Agricultural High School in 1942.

He enlisted in New York City on 11 May 1943.

A report indicates Sgt Alex L. Platt, together with Pfc Class Robert L. Kahn, disappeared on 6 September 1944 in the vicinity of Heer, Belgium, when their unit, F Company, was cut off by enemy forces. The company was driven into a wooded section and subjected to continuous point blank gunfire by enemy tanks, machine guns and mortars. Later, a search of the area failed to reveal the whereabouts of both men.

Pfc Kahn was officially declared dead one day and one year after he was reported missing in action.
