Pvt Edward H. Krebs graduated from Annville High School in 1932 and attended Lebanon Valley College. He worked on a farm and was aldo a mail carrier in his hometown.

He enlisted on 20 June 1944 at Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He trained at Camp Blanding, Florida.

He was first buried at the military cemetery of Kammerwald-Schleiden, Germany from where his remains were disinterred and evacuated to Ardennes Cemetery.
