Pvt Marvin M. Floyd enlisted in Fort Jackson, Columbia, South Carolina on 6 February 1943. He was stationed at March Field in Riverside, California until December, when he was transferred to the infantry and sent to Camp Maxey, Texas where he trained for six weeks. Pvt Floyd had been overseas about three weeks.
