Pvt Edward T. Arendt attended Wake Forest College.

He enlisted in Romulus, New York on 18 March 1944.

He was killed by sharpnel in the head.

He was first buried on 7 October 1944. He was disinterred on 24 October 1947 and his remains were prepared and placed in a casket on the same day. He was given his final resting place on 23 August 1948.
