Pvt Edward T. Arendt attended Wake Forest College.He enlisted in Romulus, New York on 18 March 1944.
He was killed by sharpnel in the head.
He was first buried on 7 October 1944. He was disinterred on 24 October 1947 and his remains were prepared and placed in a casket on the same day. He was given his final resting place on 23 August 1948.
