S/Sgt Randall C. Joines was a feed salesman at Truit and Steelman Company. He completed a four year enlistment in the Regular Army in 1940.

He enlisted in Camden, New Jersey on 18 May 1943.

He was awarded the Silver Star Medal for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action against the enemy on 2 September 1944.
