Pfc Kenneth E. Morgan attended 2 years of college and was a salesperson before he enlisted in Louisville, Kentucky on 5 October 1942.

As a wireman in the communications platoon of his company, he was repairing a break in a telephone line when an enemy artillery shell exploded nearby. The shrapnel killed him instantly.
