1st Lt Robert W. Clark enlisted in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on 7 October 1942 and had been overseas seven months. Before entering the Army he worked in the metallurgical department for the Jones and Laughlin Steel Corp. He held the Purple Heart and Oak Leaf Cluster for wounds received in action in November and January.
