Pvt Ralph G. Knight attended high school for two years and was employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad before he enlisted in Indianapolis, Indiana on 7 October 1943.
He was taken prisoner on 20 December 1944 and died in Stalag IX-B.

His brother Howard also served in Europe.
