Pvt Albert G. McKinney enlisted at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland on 18 April 1944. He was a miner before he enlisted.

He died short after his arrival in Germany. His body was found by a search and recovery unit, buried in an isolated spot in the forest.

Besides his widow, he is survived by four small children.
