S/Sgt Theodore J. Hartley graduated from Jonestown High School, Harrisburg.

He enlisted in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania on 11 December 1942 and was sent overseas in June 1944.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Fosse, Belgium.
