Capt Frederick C. Feiker II attended college for four years and was a manager before he enlisted in New York City, New York on 25 March 1941.

He was taken prisoner in Hosingen, Belgium on 18 December 1944 and was held prisoner at Stalag IX-B in Bad Orb, Germany from 25 December 1944 until 9 January 1945 when he was transferred to Oflag XIII-B in Hammelburg, Germany. On 29 March 1945, to evade the Russian offensive this camp was evacuated and while being marched southeastwards, the column was surprised by an American high altitude bombing raid near Nürnberg, Germany on 5 April 1945. Capt Feiker and 29 other prisoners fell victim to this attack.

He is also remembered at the Bridge Street Cemetery in Northampton, Hampshire County, Massachusetts.
