Pvt Victor J. Mangin enlisted in Evansville, Indiana on 20 October 1943.Pvt Victor J Mangin was killed together with 5 other soldiers (Hahs, Thorpe, Binder, Callen, and Hudzinski) by a German 88 mm shell.
After a service in the old Munshausen chapel, they were buried in the church yard. In April 1945 they were turned over to the U.S. Army and reburied in Foy, Belgium.
