S/Sgt Billy S. Hatcher attended college and worked in the motion picture bussiness before he joined the Regular Army on 4 November 1939.

His remains were found in Simonskall and initially registered as Unknown X-5489. He was evacuated to Ardennes Cemetery and could be identified at the identification center.
