Pfc Clydie B. Porter worked on a farm.

He enlisted at Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on 24 July 1942. He was serving overseas for ten months and was wounded in action in 10 June 1944 for which he was awarded the Purple Heart Medal for the first time.
