Pfc Franklin C. Morss III was a Germantown Friends School varsity football player and graduated from this school in June, 1943.He joined the Regular Army in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 20 July 1943. He trained at Fort Knox, Ky., and went overseas early in the spring of 1944.
Pfc Morss was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Fosse, Belgium.
