Sgt Orvile H. Poppe enlisted at Fort McClellan, Alabama on 9 October 1943.He attended high school for 4 years and was a street photographer from 1938 to 1940.
His remains were found in Grosshau and initially registered as Unknown X-6214. He was evacuated to Ardennes Cemetery and could be identified at the identification center.
