Pvt Anthony W. Triano was employed by the American Brass Company in New Haven, Connecticut.He enlisted on 31 August 1944 in New Haven, Connecticut.
At the time of his death, his brother Joseph was serving in the Pacific.
His comrade, Pfc John Taylor declared in a newspaper interview after the war that Pvt Triano was "one of the best" and that no soldier could want of a better pal. They met eachother after entering the service and they were together at all time possible in the U.S.A. and abroad.
Pfc Taylor and Pvt Triano were serving in the same company but in different squads.
