Pvt Andrew T. Loya worked on a farm before he enlisted at Fort Devens, Massachusetts on 20 May 1944. He was sent overseas in November 1944.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Henri-Chapelle, Belgium.

His brother, Robert J. Loya, is buried next to him.

Also his brother Russell served during the war.
