More information

Sgt Henry Blaida was first buried in a temporary grave at Margraten on 26 February 1945. He was disinterred on 22 July 1948 and his remains were prepared and placed in a casket on 23 July 1948. He was given his final resting place on 7 January 1949.

His mother, his sister Anna and and his older brother Michael were immigrants from Poland.

The two pictures were taken in November 1946 and on 16 April 1947 by the Diels Family, who were the original adopters of Blaida's grave.
