Pfc Stanley Jamraz was the third child born of a family of 10 children who emigrated from Poland. He excelled in school and was a great athlete. His brother Joseph also served in WWII and his brother Edwin served in Korea. Stanley served as a Rifleman in the Regiment and was a member of an assault force that attacked the Town of Lohne, Germany. On this occasion he bravely advanced with his platoon. During the vigorous fight he was mortally wounded by an explosion which caused his death instantly.
