More information

Pfc James E. Stirling graduated from Leetonia Hgh School in 1941 and worked in a machine shop.

He volunteered for the Army of the United States at Fort Hayes, Columbus, Ohio on 28 November 1942.

He was wounded by a mine while crossing the Rur river, south of Düren, Germany on 23 February and died a day later in an aid station in The Netherlands.
