Pfc Robert D. Scott graduated from Parkrose High School and was employed at Western Electric Company.

He enlisted at Fort Lewis, Washington on 25 February 1942 and was sent overseas in March 1944.

He was reported wounded in action in Normandy on 9 July 1944. After recovering he rejoined his unit.
