T/Sgt Terry graduated from Lakewood High School in 1931 where he participated in sports, swimming, football and track.He was wounded in action in Belgium on 24 December 1944 and returned to the front in the middle of February 1945.
His brother Philip also served in the European Theater with the rank of captain.
