Charles Ochlan immigrated on 20 December 1929 and worked as an office porter.He enlisted in New York City, New York on 25 June 1943.
He was naturalized in Jacksonville, Florida on 21 January 1944 at which time his name was changed to Charles Ochlan. At that time he served at Camp Blanding, Florida.
