Pfc Thomas H. Mc Kinnie Jr. was employed at the Mansfield bank.He enlisted at Ellington Field, Texas on 26 November 1942 and was selected for the Army Specialized Training Program, for which he was sent to Drexel Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. When the program was disbanded, he was transferred to the infantry.
He was killed in action when he was just one month overseas.
