Pfc Clifford A. Barlow enlisted on 8 April 1944.

He was wounded in action on 9 January 1945 when his unit was fighting in the vicinity of La Roche, Belgium. He suffered from multiple gun shot wounds and died in the 56th General Hospital in Liège.

He was first buried at Ardennes on 9 February 1945. He was disinterred on 8 October 1948 and his remains were prepared and placed in a casket on 20 October 1948. He was given his final resting place in March 1949.
