Pvt Donald H. Emerick attended Southwestern High School.He enlisted in Detroit, Michigan on 9 February 1944 and was overseas for three months when he was killed.
His correct name is Emrick but for some reason, military records show Emerick which was the way the family name was spelled until the 1860s.
