Pvt Hugh E. Wright was an electrical engineer before he joined the Regular Army at Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.He was officially declared dead one year and one day after he went missing and was presumed dead. At that time his unit was fighting in the vicinity of St. Andreasberg. His remains are to date never recovered.
He is also remembered at the Andrew Johnson National Cemetery in Greeneville, Greene County, Tennessee.
