Pvt Ishmael M. Love enlisted at Camp Shelby, Mississippi on 20 May 1944 and trained at Camp Croft, S.C., and Fort Meade, Md., before going overseas in November. He attended high school for 2 years and worked in a rubber factory before he enlisted.
