Private First Class Leo A. Chouinard enlisted in Boston, Massachusetts, on 16 November 1942. He trained at Camp Swift, Texas, the maneuver area in Louisiana and Fort Meade.
Before entering the Army he was employed at the Sagamore Manufacturing Co. and later in construction work in Taunton.
