T/Sgt Andy M. Kutch enlisted in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania on 29 January 1942.He had been in combat with the first army in Africa, Sicily, France and Germany and had been awarded the Bronze Star for herioc achievement in connection with militairy operations against the enemy in Saint Cloud, Algeria, on November 9, 1942. In the face of hostile fire, Sgt. Kutch courageously assisted in the establishment and maintenance of a road block and at great personal risk prevented the enemy from bringing up reinforcements. His heroic acts and unselfish devotion to duty contributed materially to his unit's success.
Prior to his enlistment, Sgt Kutch was employed as a shipping lerk with the local Montgomery Ward Store.
His wife's name was "Elizabeth" her nickname was either "Libby" or "Lilly".
